My mission as a certified master grief coach and mentor is to provide compassionate support, guidance, and education to individuals and families who are experiencing grief and loss.
I am using my experience with loss and grief to help you find purpose, meaning, and healing.”
-Danielle Chesney
I was just a freshman in high school when I lost my mom after a long battle with cancer. Losing her was incredibly difficult, but her legacy of faith, community, and love for family and friends inspired me to keep going.
Because of that experience, I felt a strong desire to pursue a career studying psychology and helping children and families cope with grief. During my time at the University of Kentucky, I interned with organizations like the NEST and Kentucky Refugee Ministries, providing crisis care intervention and support to individuals, children, and families in need.
After college, I began mentoring a young boy named Dean who also lost his mom to cancer. This experience inspired me to create a program to help children who have lost a parent cope with grief and build resilience. The mentorship program, called Young Hearts, combines mentorship and companionship to provide children with the support they need during difficult times.
However, I believe it’s not enough to learn to cope with grief, but to transform it into purpose and achieve success. That’s why I’m now building Resilience Hearts Coaching, a program designed to empower children and also adults to overcome their struggles and become the best versions of themselves. Through coaching and support, we’ll work together to help you or your kids build the resilience they need to face life’s challenges and achieve their goals.
